wants to lug their boxes to the post office when the USPS will do it for you?
The first thing you need to know is that the USPS actually offers two different types of pickup services:
Carrier Pickup
Carrier Pickup is completely free. All you have to do is let the USPS know how many boxes you
and they'll be sure to send an appropriate pickup vehicle collect the boxes during your mailcarrier's usual rounds. This is particularly
helpful if you live in an urban area and are used to the USPS showing up with a little pushcart.
Pickup On Demand
Pickup on Demand, is great when you're busy and want to make sure the USPS collects your boxes at a specific time.
It'll cost you an extra $15.30 for the added convenience but you're guaranteed of USPS showing up during the two hour window that you specify.
Regardless of which option you choose be sure to submit your pickup request no later than 2:00 AM (CST) on the day your pickup is scheduled.
